We really have taken a shocking turn if the phrase “political theatre” can be applied indiscriminately to news anchors and politicians who are more anxious for TV face time or scoring points than doing their jobs.
Entertainment producers are looking to put butts in the seats – so any cachet they can find, they will use. What is the excuse of political operatives or news personalities who are supposed to be more “serious”?
