Anita’s Work as an Actor


As an actor and native New Yorker living in Los Angeles, Anita Finlay has worked primarily in television for over twenty-five years, recurring and guest starring on such network series as “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Perception,” “Castle,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “24,” “Hannah Montana,” “Boston Legal,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Six Feet Under,” “Vanished,” “The Division,” “For Your Love,” “Girlfriends,” “The Guardian,” “Days of Our Lives,” and “Judging Amy.” Most recently, she was featured on “Euphoria” and has been recurring on “General Hospital” as Judge Naomi Carson. Anita spent seven years on “The Young and the Restless” as Dr. Nora Thompson and starred in a number of feature films and made-for-television movies including “Alternate Endings,” “The Last Place on Earth,” “Two Voices,” “Prison of Secrets, ” “Chance of a Lifetime,” “Thrill” and “Visions of Murder.” She was recently featured in the Hallmark Christmas movie, “Naughty or Nice.”

Numerous commercial campaigns include AT&T, Nabisco, Coca-Cola, Ford, Dial Soap, Glen Ellen, Kelly Tire, Lending Tree, McDonalds, AirTran, Atkins and The Los Angeles Times. Anita has long worked as a solo artist, writing and performing “The Devil Takes a Wife” to acclaim in Los Angeles theaters. She has also performed classical and contemporary works in regional theatres throughout the United States and had long running spokesperson contracts for a number of Fortune 500 companies.

She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women. Her favorite charities are Project Angel Food, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and the Rose Brooks Center.
